Overview
Travel along the Galle, Wadugama, and Dellawa Road. Turn right at Koralegama Junction. Travel a further kilometre to the jungle reserve. Track another five to six km in the jungle to view this waterfall.
Fed by the Kannekite Canal, it cascades spectacularly for about seven metres to turn right and enters a tunnel. Here another near a boulder joins the former and it continues to flow altering its course into another cavity.
This cavity was supposedly made by an earth slip during the cutting of logs for a plywood corporation which was situated in the vicinity. Rare species of plants are found in the wood lot. One is the Randothalu, the red flowers of which are used to venerate Lord Buddha.
